Shell: HSSE campaignHealth, Safety, Security and the Environment (HSSE) Campaign
In Shell, the traditional HSSE communications were simply getting lost in the clutter due to the over saturation of communication materials. The challenge was to communicate thought provoking consequences of HSSE issues through unexpected and intriguing uses of print and installations. Illustrations were created on vinyl and installed in stages overnight to tell a story throughout a few days of the consequences of a person’s action.
The campaign created the ‘have you seen’ factor (particularly the installations), which generated a lot of conversation, indicating high awareness levels. Perhaps a more measurable factor of success is that the campaign is now due to be rolled out globally.
