A little bit about me

Once upon a time, there was a guy called Colin...
Helllooooo I'm Colin

My name’s Colin Foo (MCSD). I’m a designer based in London with a huge appetite for all things creative and wonderful! I’ve been in the design industry for over 12 years and I still find it very rewarding and I’m really enjoying it! Every project is different and has its own challenges and appeal. My understanding of design, typography, print and digital platforms enables me to deliver creative design solutions across a wide range of media.

I know I’m suppose to sell myself here and tell you how great I am but all I can really say is that I love what I do, and when you love what you do, you’ll be great at it.

To contact me, you can  say hello at colin@colinslab.co.uk

My skills

My skills range from problem solving through design, illustration and motion graphics to creating almost anything that would contribute to a good design solution. I create with InDesign (inc. DPS), Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, After Effects, iStopmotion, pen, pencil, ink and anything I can get my hands on. I love getting my hands dirty and trying new ways of communicating visually.

My current role

In my current role as Senior Creative, my responsibilities include working on projects from initial brief to completion. I develop strong conceptual ideas and create stunning and informative graphics. I am also a strong and versatile illustrator and animator with a love of motion graphics. I have direct contact with my clients and have built a good relationship with them.

I understand brand integrity and work closely with photographers, developers and copywriters to ensure it is maintained across other media including digital publications, videos and Apps.

My Qualifications

Member of the Chartered Society of Designers (MCSD)

BA HONS in Graphic Design – Central Saint Martins London

HND in Graphic Design – The London Insitute (Central Saint Martins)

But most importantly, I have a love for design.

Outside work

When I’m not at work, I tend to create my own personal projects. To see what I get up to, please check out my Personal Projects in the portfolio section.
Apart from that, I do capoeira, fire poi and fire staff. I also enjoy camping, rock climbing and mountain biking (No… not the serious stuff). I am also a regular volunteer at my local Soup Kitchen for the past 12 years and also contribute my design skills toward this organisation.
